Kenya Sevens bowed out of Singapore 7s after losing 7-17 to New Zealand in the 5th place semifinal on Sunday April 29, 2018.
Kenya collected 10 points for reaching 5th place semifinal and conclude the one-month tour.
Next on the series for Kenya Sevens is London and Paris 7s in May before heading to USA for the World Cup in July.
If Mike Friday's USA doesn't win challenge trophy, Kenya will climb to fifth with 93 points, one above USA. However, may them win they will be tied at 93 points to earn a sixth placing.
Kabras Sugar's Daniel Sikuta ran the only try for Kenya in the 4th minute with Eden Agero adding the extras. Baker, Collier and Joass scored New Zealand's tries.
Lost to South Africa in Cup quarters
To drop to 5th place semifinal, Kenya lost 24-12 to South Africa in cup quarters while New Zealand went down 24-19 to Fiji.
In the loss to the Blitzbokke, Kenya trailed 17-0 at half time to a brace by Siviwe Soyizwapi - the second one converted by Cecil Afrika. In between Soyizwapi's two was one by Reino Bezuidenhout.
Collins Injera reduced the deficit in the second half with a try converted by Sammy Oliech but South Africa restored the 17 -point cushion when unstoppable Soyizwapi completed his hat trick, Afrika adding the top up.
Injera was to cut that to 12 when he completed his brace with a late unconverted try.
