Kenya 7s head coach Paul Feeney called up Kenya Harlequin forward Herman Humwa to replace injured Oscar Dennis ahead of this weekend's Cape Town 7s in South Africa.

Oscar Nondies sustained a cheekbone injury at Dubai 7s, the opening leg of 2019/20 HSBC World Sevens Series last weekend. The Nondies star is ruled out for six weeks and will only return to action in the new year.

Humwa will be looking to make his 11th appearance at the World Sevens Series. He's named as player 13.

Captain Andrew Amonde is the most experienced player in the squad having played 71 tournaments while Willy Ambaka and Billy Odhiambo of Mwamba RFC have 46 and 43 respectively.

In the meantime, assistant coach Kevin Wambua will link up with Shujaa at Cape Town 7s.

Samoa, Australia, Ireland and Kenya make up Pool D, which will kick-off the men’s competition on Friday with the opening match at 16:37 local time (GMT+2) to be between Australia and new core team Ireland.
