Impala Saracens have been dethroned as Impala Floodies champions by new champions KCB who beat them 18-17 in the final on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Impala Club.
The bankers ran in two tries, one conversion and two penalties to seal the win. Impala on their side scored one penalty and a converted try in the first half before adding a converted try in the second half.
Xavier Kipngetich crossed over for the Sarries with Quinto Oongo adding the extras as he did to all other points. Sensational Timothy Makia scored Impala’s try in the first half.
Otieno would cross over in the second half to seal KCB’s win.
Homeboyz finished third with a win over Mean Machine, Sportpesa Quins beat Strathmore to win the plate while Menengai Oilers retained the Universities title with a win over Catholic Monks.
The two sides embark on the 2017/18 Kenya Cup season that begins next Saturday. KCB are away to Strathmore Leos as Impala welcomes Mombasa RFC.
