KCB skipper ruled out of Homeboyz gig

KCB make four changes ahead of Kenya Cup 2019/20 matchday 5 clash with fellow unbeaten side, Homeboyz RFC at Ruaraka on Sat Nov 23.

Two of the changes are positional while the rest are ruled out of Saturday’s clash. Skipper Curtis Lilako and fullback Isaac Njoroge will miss the match as team manager Philip Wamae explains.

“They are not available for this game. The captain(Lilako) picked a knock in training on Wednesday while Isaac Njoroge is being rested.” Nelson Nyandat takes Lilako’s place.

Njoroge is replaced by Levy Amunga at fullback with Vincent Onyala making the bench alongside half-backs Johnstone Olindi and Michael Wanjala.

Other changes see Oliver Mangeni replace Martin Owila(bench) at second row).

Homeboyz have Bush Mwale and Alvin Otieno on the wing while Henry Ayah will be at fly-half as Michael Wanjala starts at fullback and Leonard Mugaisi on the bench. Thomas Okidia leads the Deejayz with Bruce Shiemi and Mesch Akenga joining him at frontrow.

Both KCB and Homeboyz have won their four matches to remain unbeaten alongside Kabras Sugar.

Homeboyz will be seeking to hand KCB their fourth Kenya Cup defeat in 57 matches.

KCB's last Kenya Cup defeat came last season when they went down 27-22 to Nondies. The only other defeat came Saturday March 11, 2017 when they lost 27-24 to Impala.
