KCB name Chenge, Asati for Safari 7s

National sevens circuit champions KCB named a strong side for this weekend’s Safari 7s where they’ll be the only Kenyan club side on Saturday Oct 19, 2019.

KCB are competing at the Safari 7s as a result of winning the 2019 national sevens circuit.

Despite having couple of the winning squad playing for Kenya 7s and Morans this weekend, Sevens head coach Dennis Mwanja has come up with a strong side to face the Countries at Safari 7s.

Sevens captain Davies Chenge returns to captain the squad that has Kenya Simbas scrum-half Samuel Asati, Kenya 7s international Shaddon Munoko, Simbas regulars Tony Onyangp and Peter Kilonzo, fly-half Levy Among and Brian Omondi.

Others are Elphas Adunga, Mike Kimwele, Isaac Njoroge and Eugene Sirima. 

KCB are in pool D with Spain, Zimbabwe and Seventise. Their first game will be against Spain at 11.50am at RFUEA grounds followed by Zimbabwe at 2.20pm and Seventise at 4.10pm to close the pool matches.

KCB will be without Andrew Amonde, Mickey Wanjala, Jacob Ojee, Vincent Onyala, Johnstone Olindi and Geoffrey Okwach will be donning national sevens colors at the Safari 7s.
