KCB II completed a fantastic season of the Eric Shirley Shield beating Impala Boks 22-17 in the final at USIU on Saturday March 24, 2018.
It was a revenge mission for KCB II against Impala II after the latter came from behind to win last year’s final.
They led 14-7 at the break but after going 19-7 up in the second half, allowed Impala to come to within two points after conceding a try and penalty before a late penalty secured the result for the KCB reserves.
KCB's Joshua Mwangi converted Clayne Okalo and George Maranga's tries in the first half cancelling Antony Odhiambo's try that had been converted by Bernard Rotich.
In the second half, the Cubs scored a try through Elly Mukaizi and Mwangi' s penalty as Rotich converted Nato Simiyu's try while Mike Munyua had a penalty for the losing boks.
To reach ESS final, KCB II beat Quins II 29-19 at KCB Sports Club with Impala edging Homeboyz II 13-12 at Jamhuri Park.
