KCB are the Prinsloo 7s champions

KCB have won the Prinsloo 7s after beating Nakuru RFC 29-5 on Sunday, September 24, 2017, in Nakuru.

To reach Cup final, Nakuru had beaten Homeboyz 19-12 while KCB saw off Strathmore Leos 14-10.

KCB ran in five tries with two conversions against Nakuru’s unconverted try. Ahmed Shaban bagged a double with Andrew Amonde, Jacob Ojee and Michael Wanjala getting on the score sheet as Shaban kicked two conversions in.

Nelson Oyoo scored Nakuru’s try as Geoffrey Ominde sending his kick wide.

The bankers bagged 22 points after the Cup win to move third with 44 points while Nakuru RFC is back to second now with 47 points after bagging 19 in their home tournament.

KCB’s win means there are now three different winners after three rounds of the National Sevens Circuit ahead of Sepetuka 7s next week in Eldoret.

Homeboyz finished third with a win over Strathmore, Kabras beat Quins 17-12 to finish fifth, Impala Saracens took home the Challenge trophy with 15-7 win over Impala while Mean Machine finished 13th after beating Nondies 26-17.
