2020 is set to be an exciting yet challenging year for the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) as they have been selected to host the Rugby Africa Barthes U20 Trophy where they are the defending champions.

This event will take place between 19th April and 26th April.

"We will also host either Columbia or Brazil in the Women's Rugby World Cup 15's World qualifier match on 18th April," read a statement by Ian Mugambi, KRU Hon.Secretary.

"We will also host at least three home internationals in the Africa Cup Men's XV's: We play Morocco on 29th May in Mombasa, Uganda on 11th July in Kakamega and Zimbabwe on 18th July in Nakuru."

"We then host the annual Safari 7's in Nairobi from 23rd to 25th October.
Our men's and women's 7's teams continue representing Kenya on the global scene and the highlight of their participation this year will be Tokyo 2020 Olympics in July."

"We will be looking at partnering with various stakeholders to make all these initiatives successful."
