Laiser Hill Academy registered a 42-19 win over defending champions Kakamega High at the ongoing East Africa School games in Uganda and make a revenge of the defeat suffered during the nationals final in April.

Kenya Under 20 international William Diffu crossed over twice with Christopher Asira, Martin Mugo,  Clinton Kioko and Kelvin Kerore also touching down as Johnstone Olindi made four conversions.

Timothy Onella scored for Kakamega as Eugene Miyinzi added the extras and sent in three penalties.

Upper Hill were other winners of the day beating Ntare 60-0 while Namilyango College beat Mbarara 12-3.

Kakamega have one match left, while Laiser Hill have the advantage of two matches still to play.

Laiser Hill play Uganda’s Namilyango College Thursday and a win will move them one win away from the title. They play their final match against home side St Mary’s Kisubi on Friday.
