Kakamega 7s to kick-off 2019 circuit

The Kenya Rugby Union on Friday announced dates for the 2019 edition of the national sevens circuit that will include Kakamega 7s at Bull Ring. 

Kakamega 7s, which has replaced Sepetuka 7s, will open the circuit from 20 to 21st July. 

"The next two years (2019 and 2020) will see Kabras and Western Bulls jointly host this additional leg," said KRU. 

Kabeberi 7s, hosted by Mwamba RFC, will be the second stop before the first break. Kisumu RFC and Top Fry Nakuru are set to host 3rd and 4th legs -Dala 7s and Prinsloo 7s respectively.

The prestigious Christie 7s will be the penultimate leg at Kenya Harlequin's RFUEA Grounds while Mombasa will stage the final leg, Driftwood 7s on Sep 7 and 8.

Homeboyz are the national sevens circuit defending champions.

3rd/4th August – BREAK

10th/11th August – Dala 7s, Mamboleo Showground ASK

17th/18th August – Prinsloo7s, Nakuru Athletics Club

24th/25th August – BREAK

31st August/1st September – Christie7s, RFUEA Grounds

7th/8th September – Driftwood7s, Mombasa Sports Club
