Kabras Sugar are set to sign Kenyan international prop Bramwell Mayaka and lock Andrew Chogo from Kenya Cup side Homeboyz RFC ahead of the 2017/2018 Kenya Cup season.
Raga House understands the duo is already training with Kabras with Chogo's deal already agreed while Mayaka's is in the process of being finalized.
Homeboyz and Kabras are expected to conclude talks before the season starts on Saturday, November 25 to have the two get things going from day one.
Mayaka joined Homeboyz in 2013 from Mombasa RFC and was instrumental in Homeboyz’s run during the 2016/2017 Kenya Cup season helping the Deejayz reach semis.
He made the Writers Kenya Cup Team of the Season as well as receiving a Kenya Simbas call-up.
Chogo joined Homeboyz in 2014 from Nationwide side TUK going ahead to become a regular in the Paul Murunga coached side.
Murunga says the moves are fueled by Mayaka and Chogo's careers with Homeboyz being not in a position to restrict them.
Kabras has since acquired services of head coach Charles Cardovillis who arrived with Kevin Keegan from Kenya Harlequins while Mike Okombe is said to be in contact.
