Promoted sides Strathmore Leos and MMUST found it hard yet again in the second round of the 2021 Kenya Cup losing to Kabras Sugar and Top Fry Nakuru respectively on Saturday, March 6.

Leos lost 9-35 to Kabras at Impala while MMUST went down 23-10 to Top Fry Nakuru at the Nakuru Athletics Club.

Lawi Buyachi went over Kabras moments after Leos had taken a 3-0 lead before the home side slotted another to make it 6-7. A moment of brilliance saw Brian Tanga dummy his way into the try box to take a 6-14 lead at the interval after Ntabeni Dukisa added the extras.

Jeansean Misoga, Eugene Sifuna and George Nyambua went over in the second half to help Kabras into a second win in a row ahead of next week's battle with Kenya Harlequin in Kakamega.

Strathmore Leos head to MMUST in what is a "Championship final" that never saw the light of the day.

Kelvin Kabole, Crispin Onyango and Felix Okoth went over for Wanyore in the 23-10 win over MMUST in Nakuru with Samuel Mwaura scoring eight points from the tee.

Timothy Mmasi scored a try and a penalty fro MMUST with John Bahali converting one.
