Kabras Sugar have secured top spot in the Kenya Cup after beating Impala Saracens 22-32 in the 16th and final round of the 2018/19 season on Sat April 6, 2019 at Impala Club.
Kabras ran in five tries, one penalty and two conversions against Impala's three tries, two conversions and a drop goal.
Kabras bagged five points to finish the season with 74 points. Tyson Okoth, Bill Omondi and Xavier Kipng'etich scored for Impala with Antony Nyandigisi slotting in a drop goal.
KCB at 68 points, who play Homeboyz at 4pm, cannot reach 74 points as the maximum they would get is five to take them to 73.
By failing to bag a point from the defeat, Impala's hopes of making playoffs didn't fade away as Nondies lost 12-15 to Kenya Harlequin to finish seventh with 43 points, two behind Impala.

Kabras Sugar will play their semifinal at home unlike the previous two seasons where they have had to travel to Nairobi to play Homeboyz even though they won both. Another advantage is Kabras will host the final may they go through.
In semis, Kabras await the winner of 4th vs 5th(Mwamba or Nakuru as of now). Kenya Cup quarters are set for Sat April 27 followed by semis on May 4 and the final on May 11.
Kabras reached Kenya Cup final in 2018 and 2017 but lost both to KCB as it was in 2015. Their only title victory came in 2016 when they beat Impala Saracens 25-3 at Impala Club.
Both Impala and Kabras turn focus to Enterprise Cup set for Saturday April 13 with Impala set to host Mwamba while Kabras Sugar will welcome Nondies.
