Kabras Sugar ended Impala's four-match unbeaten run in the 2018/19 Kenya Cup season beating them 42-10 in Kakamega.

It was Kabras Sugar's fifth consecutive win of the season to remain the only unbeaten side going to the new year.

Philip Wokorach, Logan Basson, Nick Barasa and Brian Tonya went over as Kabras led 28-0 at the interval before retuning to add the rest of the points in the second half.

Kabras extend their lead to 25 points as Impala failed to pick a losing point and drop to third.

Champions KCB moved to second place after beating Homeboyz 34-15 at KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka.

A Darwin Mukidza penalty was followed by Billy Isabwa's try and another three-pointer after an infringement to see the bankers lead 13-0 at the break.

Moha Omolo reduced the deficit for Homeboyz to 7-13 but that was short-lived as Kenya 7s forward Andrew Amonde got a pushover try between the posts to lead 20-7.

Mukidza was the man at it this time round with seven points as he scored and converted before he converted Peter Waitere's bonus try that was scored after Homeboyz's penalty. The Deejayz had another unconverted try but the bankers held on to the lead.

KCB now have 20 points at second place, five behind Kabras while Homeboyz drop to eight after suffering their third defeat of the season.

The Kenya Cup returns on Sat January 12 when KCB host Machine and Homeboyz visit Nakuru.
