JKUAT Cougars lost their first match of the season in the Championship league as they went down 10-5 to Catholic Monks.

JKUAT had missed the opening two matches due to the closure of the campus but their return saw them collect only one point for losing with less than seven points.

Victor Ompere and Teddy Owino scored for Catholic Monks as Newton Wasike sent all his kicks out.

University of Eldoret (UoE) remain bottom after losing 17-10 to Moi University in the North-Rift derby. Tony Kadhambi crossed over twice for Moi University as Edwin Kiptoo touched down for UoE Trojans as Dennis Sanogo scored a penalty and a conversion.

Other Championship matches saw USIU beat South Coast Pirates 21-5, Kisumu lose 17-26 to Menengai Oilers and Mean Machine beat Ngong 5-3.
