Impala Saracens sevens coach Nick Abok says they are targeting to finish ahead of Kabras and Homeboyz in the remaining sevens legs so as to win the circuit.
Impala finished second at the Sepetuka 7s to move to third in the overall standings ahead of Christie 7s and Dala 7s, the concluding legs.
“We’ve to target to beat the big guys ahead of us. The main thing is to play our game, what we know, what we are good at and if we can control what we are doing a game at a time I think we can achieve winning the overall title,” said Abok after Sunday’s final.
It was the second time Impala were returning to the Cup final after winning Kabeberi 7s and thereby becoming one of the favourites to win the overall circuit.
“We lost a lot of possession when we needed it. We take our heads up, go back to the club and find ways as we go to the final rounds,” added Abok.
Impala will be seeded second going to Christie 7s but a slip at the Kenya Harlequin’s tournament will see them drop as Menengai Oilers and Nakuru RFC follow closely.
