Ngong road powerhouses Kenya Harlequins and Impala Saracens had a Kenya Cup week 7 to forget as they went down to KCB and Kabras Sugar respectively.

Quins lost 43-17 away to KCB while Impala went down 33-17 to Kabras.

KCB and Kabras remain in positions one and two with 34 and 33 points respectively as Impala drops to fourth and Quins remains fifth.

KCB led 22-0 at the break after tries from Peter Karia, Darwin Mukidza and Peter Waitere with Mukidza scoring a penalty as well as making two conversions.

Mukidza converted Curtis Lilako’s try early in the second half before Quins pulled one back through Isaac Adimo but the bankers would extend the lead through Nick Ongeri’s converted try.

Aaron Ofoyrwoth converted David Ambunya’s try before Quins were dealt with a blow after Alex Olaba was binned.

Ahmed Shaban would score KCB’s last minute to make it 43-17 before Quins bagged their last unconverted try for their second defeat of the season.

For Kabras, Felix Ayange, George Nyambua, Paul Abuto, Max Adaka and Kelvin Kabole were on the scoresheet as Samuel Motari and Nato Simiyu crossed over for Impala.
