Homeboyz win Kabeberi 7s

Homeboyz RFC won their third consecutive cup of the national sevens circuit beating Nakuru 19-7 in the cup final of Kabeberi 7s on Sunday in Machakos.

Three tries two of them converted ensured the Deejayz win the cup against Nakuru's converted try.

Captain Leonard Mugaisi, Alvin Otieno and fly-half Johnstone Omondi ran over for Homeboyz as Kenya 7s winger Nelson Oyoo scored Nakuru's try.

Homeboyz now have 66 points from the three cup wins. They beat Mwamba in both Kabeberi and Prinsloo 7s legs.

To reach cup final, Homeboyz beat Kenya Harlequins 19-14 in the semis while Nakuru RFC saw off KCB 14-10.

KCB went ahead to finish third with a 22-5 win over Kenya Harlequin, hosts Mwamba finished fifth after seeing off  Kabras Sugar 26-19, Menengai Oilers took the challenge trophy beating Kisii 15-0 while Impala Saracens were 17-14 winners over MMUST to finish 13th.

Impala, MMUST, Northern Suburbs and Kisumu RFC were all relegated after losing challenge trophy quarters.
