Homeboyz through to quarters; Impala, Quins await last round

KCB and Homeboyz are through to the Kabeberi 7s Cup quarters after winning two pool matches on Saturday September 9, 2017 at RFUEA grounds.

Homeboyz beat hosts Mwamba 22-14 and Daystar Falcons 22-0 ahead of their last pool match against Nondies who need to win to go through.

KCB avoided last weekend’s disappointment by beating Kenya Harlequins 29-0 and Top Fry Nakuru 29-5. They play Kisii RFC in their last match. Quins had beaten Kisii 19-15 in their opening match with their closing match against Nakuru set to be a decider. 

Kabars Sugar have also won two matches beating Strathmore Leos 28-7 and Makueni RFC 24-0.

Hosts Mwamba RFC dropped to the Challenge trophy after going down 22-14 to Homeboyz and 19-17 to Nondies.

Impala lost 21-7 to Blak Blad after beating Monks 26-0 and will wait till the last match against Menengai Oilers to confirm a place in the quarters.

Makueni RFC bounced back from a 24-0 defeat to beat Mean Machine 14-0 while Blak Blad will also wait till the last game against Monks.
