National Sevens circuit defending champions Homeboyz have started the Driftwood 7s on a high beating Blak Blad 27-5 on Saturday, September 1, 2017.

Homeboyz ran in five tries and one conversion against Blak Blad’s one unconverted try.

Skipper Jeff Oluoch bagged a brace with Leonard Mugaisi and Collins Shikoli also touching down as Michael Wanjala made the conversion.

Head coach Paul Murunga says it's a good start for the champions as they look to take control of the group.

“Good start for us. At some point we knew Blak Bald is one of the good sides in terms of shifting and knowing what exactly what to do but Homeboyz played well and I am impressed so two more games and now we can see who is able to run in the field combination and see how it goes for the next two games and of course tomorrow”

Homeboyz's next match is at 12.24pm against western Bulls before concluding with Top Fry Nakuru at 4.36pm.
