National Sevens Circuit leaders Homeboyz have been knocked out of the Kabeberi 7s Cup competition after losing 13-10 to Strathmore Leos in the quarters on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at RFUEA grounds.

Both Strathmore and Homeboyz ran in two unconverted tries but Leos slotted a penalty that was the difference.

Strathmore led 10-5 by the time the hooter went but a poor restart saw Leonard Mugaisi score to keep the Deejayz in it. Humphrey Owuor had a chance to win the game for Homeboyz but sent his conversion wide to see the game go to extra time.

Strathmore was awarded a penalty with Lucas Opal going for the posts to bag a 13-10 win.

Strathmore will play Oilers in the semis after they beat Kenya Harlequins 31-5 as Homeboyz takes on Quins in the 5th place semis.
