Kabras Sugar makes several changes for the side to host Kenya Harlequins in the fifth round of the Kenya Cup on Saturday, January 13, 2018.

From the side that white-washed Mombasa at the close of 2017, Asuman Mugerwa and Steven Ochieng replace Hosea Ngesa and Bramwell Mayaka with David Amboso making way for Kelvin Kabole at flank.

Skipper Max Adaka starts at 8 with Dominic Osino and Kevin Keegan completing the half-backs pair.

“We are coming off a break but have tried as much as possible to keep the squad consistent,” head coach Charles Cardovillis told Raga House.

Winger Aluda Beda drops to the bench with Paul Abuto coming in on the left wing to push Felix Ayange to the right wing as Fabian Olando replaces Jacob Okumba at outside centre to pair Johnston Mung’au.

“We have brought in Steve Ochieng, Abuto and Achayo to test our depth in what is going to be a trying month for us. Quins are on a high but so are we. We just need to trust our structure and take the game to our visitors,” adds Cardovillis.

The bench has Kenyan international Edwin Achayo, Messo Okello, Steve Oluoch, Malika Habil, Ngesa, Joseph Odero and Aluda Beda.

“Mayaka, Okumba and Kirabo sit out this one, with the first two having a run in the 2nds to get their match fitness up” “We must also use our ever loyal fans to our advantage and I ask them to come out in droves and make the atmosphere as hostile as possible for Quins,” concluded Cardovillis.

With Homeboyz heading to KCB on Saturday afternoon, third-placed Kabras Sugar has a chance of going up but they must overcome a Quins side that has won three matches including against Nakuru RFC, Mwamba and Blak Blad.
