Fiji 7s will practice the new Hamilton 7s format on Thursday and Friday ahead of the tournament at the end of the month.
The January 25-26 tournament in New Zealand will have a new format leaving little room for error in pool play.
With quarter-finals dropped from the schedule, only the winners from the four men's pools will advance straight to the semi-finals.
Every game counts with this new format thus Fiji 7s head coach Gareth Baber saying they are dedicating two days for this.
“The two games on day one and three games on day two we'll do our session based a lot similarly to that.”
“The training, we’ve always had a plan of how it will always go; we move on as per the players condition. They get used to short and sharp movement on the field rather than long fitness sessions they have done.”
“When it comes to Hamilton and Sydney we have only two weeks turn around”
The reigning Olympic and Series champions Fiji will play Argentina, Australia and Samoa in Pool D.
The first two legs of the 2019-20 world series series in Dubai and Cape Town were played over three days with both men's and women's teams involved.
