Expect an update on Kenya Cup resumption

You can expect an update on the resumption of rugby in Kenya as Sports CS Amina Mohamed is set to be presented with a road-map on the way forward come Monday, August 24, 2020.

Raga House understands the Cabinet Secretary for Sports Amb. Amina Mohamed will be briefed on the resumption of sports guidelines on Monday at 4.30 pm, not open to the media. This was to be done on Thursday but moved due to unavoidable reasons.

After the committee has briefed the CS, it is likely there will be another meeting with all stakeholders and media to advise on the way forward. It is expected sports as football and rugby will resume soon as the Confederation of African Football has already scheduled a matchday in November.

Mwamba RFC team doctor, Dr.James Ondiege and former KRU CEO Sylvia Kamau are among 23 Kenyans gazetted back in June by Sports CS Amina Mohamed as part of the advisory committee on the resumption of sporting activities in Kenya.

All sporting activities in Kenya including rugby have been on suspension since March due to COVID 19.
