ESS: KCB wallops Leos as Kisii, Mombasa give walkovers

KCB II were the biggest winners of the opening round of the new Eric Shirley Shield season as they walloped Strathmore II 55-16 at Ruaraka on Saturday, November 25, 2017.

The 2017 losing finalists scored nine tries and five conversions against Strathmore’s two tries and two penalties.

Ronald Ogola, Michael Kimwele, Brody Kagai, George Maranga, Boniface Ababu and Manase Owuor touched down for KCB. While 17-year old Maranga scored a brace, Ogola landed a hat trick.

There were two other matches played on day one as Kabras Sugar II beat Mwamba II 17-0 and Blak Blad II lost 12-10 to Nondies II.

Mombasa II and Kisii II gave walkovers to Impala II and Nakuru II respectively.

Homeboyz II take on Quins II on Tuesday in a postponed clash.
