Early kickoff for Kenya Simbas -Tunisia clash

It will be a 2pm kickoff - not be the traditional 4pm - when Kenya hosts Tunisia in their penultimate Africa Gold Cup cum 2019 World Cup qualification clash on Saturday 4 August at the RFUEA grounds off Ngong road.

According to Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) the early kickoff has been dictated by Rugby Africa’s broadcast partner Kwese Sports who will air this match live across their television and digital platforms.

Kenya Simbas has so far played two Africa Gold Cup games at the RFUEA grounds in recent weeks; against Zimbabwe and Uganda, with both games kicking off at 3pm. For the same broadcast reasons, the games were adjusted from 4pm.

Kenya has its work cut out as they need an outright win to buffer an eight point lead already built by leaders Namibia whom they face off with in Windhoek on 18 August in what is highly tipped as World Cup qualification decider.

Kenya is second in the six-team table with 12 points from three straight wins over Morocco, Zimbabwe and Uganda while Tunisia is fourth with four points.

Kenya comes up against a Tunisia side they have always beaten in Nairobi since their first meeting in 2005
