Defeat to England sees Kenya 7s drop to challenge trophy

A second defeat at the ongoing Dubai 7s means Kenya 7s drops to challenge trophy of the opening leg of the 2019/20 HSBC World Sevens Series.

Kenya 7s lost 12-5 to England in the second game on Friday afternoon to add to Thursday’s 17-12 defeat to South Africa.

Kenya’s last pool game is against Spain at 6.32pm. South Africa beat Spain 35-5.

Oliver Lindsay-Hague put England 7-0 before the interval before Danny Bibby put the English 12-0 up in the 11th minutes. Nelson Oyoo scored for Kenya in the 12th minute but there was no comeback for Shujaa. 

Both England and South Africa won two pool matches to proceed to cup quarters with their pool clash set to be at 6.54pm.
