Last round of the 2018 national sevens circuit -Christie 7s kicked off on Saturday with Homeboyz and Mwamba bagging opening wins as they seek to win the title.

Homeboyz beat South African combined side of Blue Bulls and TUK 26-7 while Mwamba were 38-12 winners over Narvskaya Zastava. Other matches played on Saturday morning saw Kabras beat Mean machine 12-10, Nakuru see off Menengai Oilers 38-12 and Quins beat Cubs 48-0.

Homeboyz have 100 points requiring only 15 points - equivalent of reaching main cup semis and forgetting Mwamba's results - to take home the national title..

Mwamba, at 92 points, need the maximum 22 points and hope Homeboyz does not go past cup quarterfinals at RFUEA Grounds.

May Mwamba fail to reach semis, Homeboyz will need only six points - equivalent to losing challenge trophy final. A situation where Mwamba fails to reach cup quarters will see Homeboyz crowned national champions at the close of day one.
