Menengai Oilers and Mean Machine edged closer to Championship semis qualification with five points wins in the 15th round on Saturday April 7, 2018. 

Oilers beat Ngong RFC 46-10 with two tries from Allan Aziz as Derrick Keyoga, Antony Mwangi, Vincent Mwikali, Rodgers Audi and Peter Wanjala aslo scored.

Machine on their side were awarded a 24-0 walkover by Moi University who did not travel to Nairobi for the game. The Menengai side leads the Championship standings with 68 points as Machine follow second with 64. 

Western Bulls continued to pile pressure on the two sides with an important 19-29 win over USIU. They stay third with 52 points ahead of the last match against the already relegated JKUAT. 
Catholic Monks moved to fifth after beating UoE Trojans 6-27 taking advantage of USU's defeat. USIU drops to sixth.

Kisumu RFC stays fourth with 39 points after bagging a four points in the 22-23 win over South Coast Pirates in Ukunda. Pirates stay 10th with 22 points after picking a point in the defeat to Kisumu.
Egerton's hopes of making the playoffs may have ended despite beating JKUAT 23-20 getting five points as they move to 27, which is six behind sixth placed USIU making it impossible for them to go through.
