Table toppers Menengai Oilers face a test when the Championship returns this weekend as they host former Kenya Cup side Western Bulls.
Oilers have recorded four straight wins since the Championship began to top with 15 points while Bulls are third with 13 points.
Bulls’ wins have come against Kisumu RFC, UoE and Egerton Wasps while Oilers have seen off Kisumu, Moi University and UoE.
With two sides meeting, second placed Mean Machine has a chance to turn tables when they visit JKUAT Cougars. A win for Machine will see them pile pressure on Oilers if they don’t lose to Bulls.
South Coast Pirates returns to upcountry again, this time to play sixth-placed Ngong. With the Kenny Andola coached side sitting at 10th with only one win, maximum points against Ngong at Kibiko forest will be crucial to their season that began with two defeats.
University of Eldoret and Moi University will be on the road on match day five as UoE visit Egerton Wasps and Moi travel to Kisumu RFC.
From the three matches they have played, Egerton have not won any as UoE looks to build on their first win they got against Kisumu RFC.
Moi University has had a good start winning two matches and losing one to stay fifth.
The last clash of the day featuring City-based USIU and Catholic University will be at Catholic who seek to bounce back after the defeat to South Coast Pirates in December. USIU on their side will be looking to maintain a 100% start to the league that sees them sit 5th with a chance to close the gap between them and Western Bulls.
