Will it be a turnaround by host teams - of week 2 defeats - or add-on wins to the traveling bunch as reverse KRU Championship games kick off on Saturday 16 March, 2019?

Back on 24 November, 2018, on-the-road Mombasa RFC, South Coast Pirates, Egerton Wasps, Kisii RFC, Masinde Muliro and University of Eldoret (UoE) all went down to Catholic Monks, USIU, Ng'ong, Western Bulls, Kisumu RFC and Kitale, in that order, during the second set of games into the season.

But the travelers then have a chance to reverse the November tidings when they host the same sides come Saturday during match day 13 games.

Championship log leaders Western Bulls, now with 45 points from 12 games, will be up against host and seventh placed Kisii RFC to seek a double. They carry a 17-10 win from their previous encounter.

Second placed Catholic Monks, with 44 points, will be away to fifth placed Mombasa RFC at the Coast. They had a convincing 39-9 win over the same side in Nairobi.

Third placed USIU, on 40 points, will carry a 39-14 win from the first leg to eleventh placed South Coast Pirates in Ukunda as fourth placed Kisumu RFC, on 33 points, make a short distance to Kakamega to parade a 28-3 November win over sixth placed Masinde Muliro.

Eighth placed UoE will hope to forget a narrow 10-6 loss when they face ninth placed Kitale in Chepkoilel as Egerton Wasps plot to reverse a 15-6 defeat to basement side Ngong RFC.

Thus far the competition has been rife with Masinde Muliro occupying the final playoff spot six with 24 points but only sit ahead of Kisii RFC on point difference.
