Championship: Leos end MMUST's unbeaten run

New Strathmore Leos head coach Louis Kisia kicked off his reign on a high beating MMUST 10-19 away at Masinde Muliro University in the 7th round of the 2019/20 Championship Cup.

Leos also ended MMUST's unbeaten run to remain the only side with 100% start to the new season. Tries by Richard Omedo  and Andrew Matoka as well as kicks from Arnild Mwita ensured Leos pick four points on the road. 

Strathmore Leos lead the Championship log with 33 points as MMUST stay second with 25 after failing to pick a bonus in the defeat.

Mean Machine were other winners on the road beating Kisii RFC 10-10 while Catholic Monks lost 19-12 to UoE Trojans. USIU beat Northern Suburbs Cubs 20-18 as Eldoret RFC bagged a 36-16 win over South Coast Pirates.
