Championship: Leos edge out Machine, Jawchire beaten in Mombasa

Another game, another win for Strathmore Leos. The 13th consecutive win of the season came in style as they beat former Kenya Cup side Mean Machine 16-8 at St.Mary's School on Saturday Feb 1.

Bethuel Anami scored Strathmore's try with Lucas Opal scoring the rest of the points from the boot. Reuben Oroko had scored Mean Machine's unconverted try with captain Festus Shiasi adding three more points. 

Leos now lead the Championship chart on 61 points while Machine stay third on 40 after missing out on a bonus by a point. 

Simon Jawchire's Catholic Monks and Northern Suburbs suffered defeats at the Coast losing to South Coast Pirates 15-14 and Mombasa RFC 8-0 respectively. Chrissant Ojwang scored Mombasa's try with Jospeh Musyoki adding one penalty.

MMUST stay second on 54 points after edging out USIU 18-19, UoE beat Eldoret 9-8 while Kisii lost 22-10 to Egerton Wasps.
