Bulls, Monks pile pressure on USIU

Western Bulls and Catholic Monks retained their second and third places on the KRU Championship after both won their respective match day five encounters.

In Kakamega, Western Bulls saw off UOE 15-8 while Monks emerged 24-5 victors over visiting Egerton University. As a result, Bulls have 19 points, two less than leaders USIU as Monks remain third with 18 points.

Rogeshian Odhiambo scored a brace and captain Willis Mwinamo added a third for Bulls. They were 5-0 ahead by the breather in the encounter played under the rain. 

At the Catholic University, Caleb Kiprotich, Teddy Owino, Bonface Amimo and Newton Wasike scored the quartet of tries for Monks, with Newton Wasike converting two of the four.

UOE head into the Christmas festivities ranked 11th with 4 points as Egerton remains eighth with 8 points.
