Hopes of Kabras clinching their maiden sevens circuit are still alive after the sugar millers saw off hosts Kisumu 24-0 to book a berth in the Cup quarter-finals of the Dala 7s.

Impala Saracens and KCB are also through after recording two wins each in as many attempts. KCB defeated MKU Stingerz 35-0 and had pipped Catholic Monks 24-14 in the opener. Sarries followed up their 36-0 win over Webuye with a 40-0 thrashing of Egerton Wasps.

Timothy Makiya crossed for a brace in Impala's second match with Paul Mutsami, Sammy Oliech, Davies Makori and Mark Kwemoi adding one each. The latter slotted four conversions.

Western Bulls are back to the Cup quarters after missing out at Christie 7s. Echulusi narrowly edged neighbours Masinde Muliro University 12-10 in their second match and had beaten the University of Eldoret 26-0 earlier on.
