Baptism of fire for Kisumu, KCB whitewash Western Bulls

Kenya Cup defending champions KCB and runners up Kabras Sugar had a perfect start to the 2019/20 season beating promoted sides Western Bulls and Kisumu RFC respectively.

KCB beat Western Bulls 48-11 at the Den while Kabras Sugar saw off Kisumu 89-0.

Elphas Adunga, Darwin Mukidza, Francis Mwita and Nick Ongeri scored for KCB with Bailey Anyasi and Eugene Asava getting points for Bulls.

In Kakamega, Timoci Saniate ran in a hat-trick during his maiden while immediate former South Coast Pirates and former Kenyan international Lawrence Buyachi also got on the scoresheet.

George Nyambua, Paul Abuto, Brian Tang, Eugine Sifuna, Hillary Odhiambo and Felix Ayange were also on the scoresheet for the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Kenya Cup runners up.

KCB’s next game is a short trip to Kenya Harlequin who lost  26-11 to Homeboyz while Western Bulls return home to host Menengai Oilers.
