Captain Oscar Ayodi is back in the Kenya 7s team to London and Paris 7s, the final two legs of the 2017/18 HSBC World Sevens Series in the first two weekends of June.
Ayodi has been out injured since Cape Town 7s and is joined in the travelling squad by Nondies star Dennis Ombachi who returns for the first time since Dubai.
Herman Humwa of Kenya Harlequins and Brian Tanga of Kabras Sugar are also back after missing Hong Kong, Commonwealth games and Singapore 7s.
Oscar Ouma who has been captaining the side in Ayodi's absence is out of the squad for the final two legs as well as his forward partner Dan Sikuta of Kabras Sugar. They are joined on the sidelines Ouma has "personal commitments" according to head coach Innocent Simiyu while Sikuta is bereaved and is out on "compassionate leave'.
"Ayodi and Ombachi brings a lot of experience and add more dynamics to the team. Sammy Oliech is also out after he suffered an injury in training. He is out for four weeks," said Simiyu while taking questions after the team naming.
Joining Ayodi and Omabchi London and Paris 7s is Andrew Amonde who has been named as Vice captain. Experienced Collins Injera, Willy Ambaka, Billy Odhiambo, Nelson Oyoo, Jeff Oluoch and Eden Agero are also in and so is Augustine Lugonzo of Homeboyz and and Eric Ombasa from Menengai Oilers.
On the final two legs of the series, this is what coach Simiyu had to say; "It is the toughest of the series due to mental fatigue."

At London 7s, Kenya Sevens is in pool C with Mike Friday's USA, hosts England and France; a repeat of Singapore 7s pools.
The World Rugby released order of play for London Sevens with Kenya set to open the Europe tour against USA at 1.42 pm on Saturday June 2, France at 4.48 pm and close pool matches against England at 8.16 pm.
Kenya Sevens has 93 points same with fifth placed USA and only sit back due to points difference.
The French capital will host the final round of the men’s and women’s series on 8-10 June 2018, as the final men’s tournament switches with the London tournament (2-3 June).
After the end of series, the focus will turn to the west coast of the USA on 20-22 July for Rugby World Cup Sevens at the iconic AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants baseball team.
