The two members of the Australian Sevens have been cleared of coronavirus after being tested for the disease.

Rugby Australia's Moore Park headquarters were shut down on Monday and Tuesday for an "intensive clean" in the wake of the tests.

The national body confirmed in a statement on Wednesday morning  that the pair had received negative tests.

"Rugby Australia has confirmed that members of the Australian Sevens program who were tested for COVID-19 have each returned negative tests," the statement read.

"There are not currently any concerns for any other members of the program, and teams will return to training at Rugby Australia headquarters on Thursday."

The teams will return to training at Moore Park on Thursday but non-essential staff are set to continue working from home until March 30.

Australia's Sevens teams have already had their seasons disrupted by Coronavirus, with the Hong Kong and Singapore Sevens tournaments postponed until October.

On Wednesday morning, the IOC reiterated its commitment to staging the Olympics in July as planned despite the spread of the virus.
