All set for Central nationwide kick-off

The ever-competitive Central nationwide league is set to welcome back JKUAT Cougars for the 2018/19 season that kicks-off on Saturday Nov 17.

JKUAT return to the nationwide after two years in the second tier league -KRU Championship.

Their return presents another challenge to the rest of 11 teams in what is becoming a very competitive lower league that has up to five teams challenging for the regional title.

JKUAT join former Kenya Cup side Thika, Kiambu RFC, MKU Thika, Embu RFC, Chuka Vikings, Meru RFC, Nanyuki Jackals, Zetech, Murang’a, Dedan Kimathi and Karatina.

Champions Kimabu RFC kick off the new campaign at home against Karatina, MKU Thika will host Dedan Kimathi, JKUAT and Thika head to Embu and Chuka respectively.

Fast-rising Meru RFC host Murang’a while Zetech will visit Nanyuki.

The Central nationwide league will run for 11 weeks till March 9th with two breaks within. Regional quarters are set for March 23rd in 2019.
