Kenya 7s international Biko Adema is set to play his first Kenya Cup game since March 2018.

Adema played for Kenya Simbas in the 2018 season but was later ruled out of action with a knee injury that forced him to miss the entire 2018/19 Kenya Cup season.

His last time to be named in the Nondies matchday 23 was March 2, 2018 for the last game of the season against Quins but that game was later called off due to the weather. He had however played in the preceding game –against Nakuru at NAC.

"It feels good to be back," Adema told Raga House. "Training has gone great for me. Season hasn't started off well for Nondies, just hope that we can pick up starting with this weekend."

"They(Blak Blad) are an unpredictable side, one can't take them lightly. They always bring it against Nondies."

Adema will start at fly-half, replacing Fielden Sinei, against Blak Blad as Nondies seek a first win of the season. Last week they lost to promoted side Kisumu RFC in Nyanza.

Filden Sinei Captains the 2nds side with assistance from Charles Ndirangu as Fidel “Baboon” Oloo captains the 1sts side with assistance from Benjie Marshall,” tweeted Nondies.

“Biko Adem makes his 1st appearance of the season!! Head Coach Willis “Fox”Ojal has made some wholesome changes to the squads that traveled to Kisumu as he looks to get a win from the University based side.”

Blad are also out to chase their first win after losing to Mwamba and Impala Saracens in the opening round of matches. Allan Omae is at fullback, Lionel Ekesa at fly-half, Denis Mutethia at scrum-half while Rian Onyango and Kelvin Gathu are on the wings.

Byron Ogada, Doughlas Sifuna, Emmanuel Omae and Baerum Imbunye are among those named on the bench.
